“Life is more fun if you play games.”- Roald DahlI'm a fifth year doctoral student at the University of Maryland, College Park studying Human Development and working in the Early Childhood Interaction Lab. I have recently completed my dissertation, and and wrapping up my ongoing projects for the remainder of 2022 and Spring 2023. I study how children's early math knowledge relates to their use of and exposure to gesture, as well as how other domain-general factors (such as executive function) may impact these relations. Additionally, I'm interested in how these relations vary based on context, such as in a playful, game-based math environment, or more formal, school-based educational setting. My work is currently funded by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. You can click here to read about my research interests and current work. |
